Some first experiments in consumables.
I’m trying to make bars of soap that are neither crafty nor industrial. These are flaky, thin and miscolored, with a texture from an imprint of a firelog I had lying around. Unsure about the wood texture—I’d like to make something irregular but without such overt reference. I do like the marbling and the strange outline, but want to produce something both uglier and more lovely at the same time.

These are made with clear and white glycerin in a mold imprinted with the fractal pattern of a cauliflower head. Enjoying the change in transparency in the top one, and looking forward to the change in texture with use.
